  • Research Summary:

    The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Group performs fundamental research on Dynamic Nuclear Magnetic Resonance of hindered organic molecules.

    The development of rationally designed chiral derivatizing agents (CDAs, like Mosher's reagent), chiral solvating agents (CSAs, like Pirkle's alcohol) and chiral lanthanide shift reagents (CSRs, like Eu(tfc)3) has extended the application spectrum of structural NMR analysis to a wide range of compounds.
    The goal of our Research is to elucidate the three-dimensional structure or stereoisomeric composition of molecules by NMR spectroscopy and DFT calculations.
